This was a great trip. The group was very cohesive; factions did not appear as in the last trip I took. The accommodations were top notch. The Marriott at the airport was very nice and made a good base for the group as they arrived. It was very nice to step off of the plane and be just a short walk from the hotel. And it was easy to get to the downtown area from the Marriott. The hotel in Jasper was quaint and incredibly comfortable with an excellent breakfast buffet. The hotel in Canmore was very nice and near the center of town. The breakfast buffet at the Malcolm was also wonderful. The golf courses were amazing, and the amount of golfing days was the best balance for a trip of this length. My only complaint with the golf was all the complaining about slow play and demanding something be done about it. I'm of the thought that I'm playing a beautiful course that I may never get to play again, and I am on vacation and don't want to get worked up over something as silly as slow play. Also, I would venture to guess that a huge percentage of the people playing these courses are also tourists taking in the surrounding beauty and pausing to get that perfect picture. Would be nice if everyone could just take a deep breath at moments like this. Our driver, Rodger, was great. He was always on time and quick with a funny story. The reason I'm not rating this trip five stars is because it seemed like when something didn't go exactly as planned it became a bit of a fire drill. Also, it seemed like the company rep was preoccupied a lot with dealing with upcoming trips and launching new trips. The company rep on these trips should focus her attention 100% on the trip at hand, that is what the participants sign up and pay for. Overall, this was a spectacular trip with amazing accommodations and golf courses. I would definitely recommend this trip to others.
